FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
You've Got Questions, We've Got Answers!
How does the virtual process work for scheduling appointments?
Once a time & date is confirmed, you will be given access to our secure client portal to transmit all your files safely. For the actual appointment, we give you the option of choosing between a video conference call or a regular phone call. All information and paperwork will be reviewed and prepared by us prior to the meeting.
What if I receive another tax form after I’ve filed my return?
If you've already e-filed or mailed your return to the IRS or state taxing authority, you'll need to complete an amended return. You can file form 1040X on your own or by scheduling an appointment with us. Additional fees may apply.
How long do you keep my filed tax information on file?
Your information will be retained for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide you services. We may retain or use your information as necessary to comply with our policies, legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We are required by the IRS to retain filed tax returns for a period of at least three years.
Can I file an extension if I’m not ready to submit my return and pay the IRS by the tax deadline?
You can file an extension for your return through form 4868 however payment is still due.
What if I owe the IRS and can’t pay the full amount?
If you are a qualified taxpayer or authorized representative (Power of Attorney) you can apply for a payment plan online to pay off your balance over time.
How are your fees
determined?
Our prices are set based on the complexity and amount of time a task requires. Urgent requests requiring an immediate turnaround may be susceptible to additional “rush” fees.
